I’ve lived in St. Louis, MO. since 1991. If you visit here these might be some places to check out and have some fun.
The Landing:
The Landing or Riverfront is where the Arch is. Underneath the Arch is a historic museum with a big focus on American Indian History.
Take a walk around downtown and you can find some neat places like the Spaghetti Factory, Curry in a Hurry and lots of small authentic restaurants.
Botanical Gardens:
The Botanical Gardens is the largest Japanese garden in North America located on Tower Grove Ave and Shaw.
Union Station:
This is just a cool hang out place for me but I think anyone travelling here would like it. The Metro link will take you here.
Delmar Loop:
My Favorite place to hang out here in St. Louis. Lots of different restaurants like Blueberry Hill which is a bar and has Chuck Berry Memorabilia. Just get off the Metro link at the Delmar Loop and walk west down Delmar and you’ll find the loop. From cultural stores to ethnic restaurants, you won’t regret it.
Forest Park:
The cool thing about forest park is that the Science Museum and the Zoo are Free to visit. Excellent place to bring the family and have some fun.

Most people will be surprised to know that peppers are a natural anti-acid. I baught a jar of jalopenio peppers pre sliced (like the ones you put on nochoes) and used them when I had heartburn attacks and it worked great. The other good thing is that the jalopenios are much cheaper that anti-acid medicine.
Foods and beverages you want to stay away from will be:
- Oily foods or oil based products sut as hot sauce, fatty meat, etc.
- Carbs include bread, pasta and Milk, yes milk because it has fat and carbs.
- Carbinated beverages such as soda and alcacelcer.
- Acidic fruits and juices.
If you feel heartburn coming stop eating right away because the fuller your stomach the more acid gets pushed up into the easophogus. If sleeping try laying on your left side because your stomach hangs on the left side of the body and this will position the stomach down bellow the easophogus. Laying on the right side will put the stomach above the easophogus which will be bad because then the contents will want to flow through.
It’s always best to consult a doctor because acid reflux is often confused with heartburn and can be fatal if not treated. If the doctor says you just have heartburn then these methods may be usefull.
